Description: Shell PANOLIN S4 HLP Synth 46 is a high-performance, readily biodegradable hydraulic fluid based on saturated synthetic esters. It is part of the industry-leading range of biodegradable saturated ester (HEES) synthetic hydraulic fluids and the first Bosch-approved HEES fluid. Formulated with high-performance, synthetic saturated esters, its special zinc-free additive technology offers increased machine efficiency through improved oil life and superior wear protection. It is particularly suitable for use in environmentally sensitive applications such as stationary and mobile hydraulic systems in construction, agriculture, and forestry.
Characteristics:
- Extended service life: Shell PANOLIN S4 HLP Synth offers extended oil life, supporting continuous, uninterrupted operation of machinery and equipment. Longer oil change intervals mean less oil needs to be produced, purchased, and disposed of. Excellent TOST test results of over 6,000 hours (modified ASTM D943 test).
- Improved wear protection: Provides exceptionally high wear protection for hydraulic equipment and strong protection against sludge and varnish deposits.
- Efficient in cold climates: Good low-temperature performance enables reliable starting even at low temperatures and reduces the risk of metal-to-metal wear. Shear-stable fluids with a high viscosity index protect the machine over a wide temperature range and enable higher hydraulic efficiency compared to standard HM mineral oil.
