Shell Tellus S2 MX oil is suitable for applications in most hydraulic pumps.

Miscibility with other oils

Shell Tellus S2 MX is miscible with commercially available mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids. However, mineral oil-based hydraulic fluids should generally not be mixed with other fluid types, such as biodegradable or flame-resistant hydraulic fluids.

Compatibility with surrounding materials

Shell Tellus S2 MX is compatible with common sealing materials and paints designed for use with mineral oil.
