Shell Tellus S2 VA is a high-performance hydraulic oil with detergent properties. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring an emulsifying oil. Utilizing proven zinc-based anti-wear technology, it offers outstanding performance in mobile applications where there is a risk of water or solid contamination and a wide operating temperature range is required.

Synchronous operation of the hydraulic system is made possible by friction reducers, which improve the stick-slip properties even at high loads and only a small lubricating film.

When filled at the factory, Shell Tellus S2 VA meets the requirements of purity classes ISO 4406 21/19/16 or better, as required by DIN 51524.

As mentioned in DIN 51524, the oils are exposed to various influences during transport and storage, which can affect their purity.

Miscibility with other oils

Shell Tellus S2 VA is compatible with other mineral-based hydraulic oils. However, mineral-based hydraulic oils should generally not be mixed with biodegradable or fire-resistant oils.

Compatibility with surrounding materials

Shell Tellus S2 VA is compatible with sealing materials and paints normally suitable for mineral oils.
